Dear Fellow Composers:

I am very happy to announce the 2010 SCI/ASCAP Student Composition  
Commission national and regional results. Congratulations to all of  
the winners and also to all of the entrants for their fine work!
I would also like to give a huge thanks to this year's regional and  
national judges for their part in making this commissioning  
competition possible. And, another big thanks to Frances Richard, Cia  
Toscanini and ASCAP for their
support of student composers of art music through funding this  
commissioning competition!

The 2009 SCI/ASCAP commissioned compositions will be premiered at the  
SCI National Conference, hosted by Tayloe Harding, at the University  
of South Carolina November 11-14. I hope many of you will
join us at the conference to hear the new works.
